Health Management System — Delexis Healthcare Solutions
Fullstack Developer
A healthcare equipment and operations management platform built to help hospitals track inventory, manage service workflows, and coordinate maintenance activities through a role-based full-stack dashboard.
Story & Overview
At Delexis Healthcare Solutions, I worked on rebuilding an internal health management system designed to help hospitals manage medical equipment, facilities, service workflows, and operational reporting.
Delexis supplies healthcare equipment to hospitals — particularly in Nigeria — and this platform was developed to help both Delexis and hospital staff track equipment usage, monitor service schedules, manage branches and departments, and coordinate maintenance operations.
The system functioned as an operational dashboard where hospitals could manage facilities, departments, equipment inventories, employee activity, service requests, and audit reports. It also allowed Delexis service teams to monitor equipment health and proactively schedule maintenance.
This project was one of my first full-stack production systems and played a significant role in shaping my understanding of backend architecture, database performance, and real-world workflow automation.
My Role
I was responsible for migrating the platform from a legacy PHP system to a modern full-stack architecture using Next.js, NestJS, Prisma, and MySQL.
My responsibilities included:
- Rebuilding backend APIs and database models using Prisma
- Migrating legacy SQL schema into a structured ORM-based data layer
- Designing role-based dashboards for hospital administrators and operational users
- Implementing equipment inventory management workflows
- Building automated service request scheduling logic using NestJS cron jobs
- Implementing pagination, indexing, and eager loading strategies to improve query performance
- Structuring the application as a role-based monolithic system with separate admin and operational views
- Deploying frontend and backend services on Render
This project supported operational workflows for hundreds of healthcare staff across multiple hospital branches.
